In this data engineering project, I clean a dataset of data representing sales transactions from a cafe. First, I check the dataset for errors, and then impute any missing values with the mean or the mode. The dataset is then further formatted and loaded onto Google BigQuery.
The dataset is now properly formatted and has been uploaded directly onto Google BigQuery for further processing or analysis. This type of data scrubbing can be incredibly valuable by transforming unprocessed spreadsheets into data that can be processed into actionable reports and results and generate insights. I can also perform web scraping, the process of using analytical tools to gather unprocessed data from websites and turn it into formatted spreadsheets.
